Set in the early Qing Dynasty, one year after the previous story, Sze Sai Lun encounters a mysterious pillow spirit who persuades him to take on the role of magistrate in Sin-yau County. As he settles into his new position, he faces a series of unusual cases and challenges that put his wit and sense of justice to the test.
