The Story of a Woodcutter and His Fox Wife 30

Video Info

In a quiet village near Changde Mountain in Hunan, a humble woodcutter named Liu Hai lives with his blind mother. He earns a living cutting wood and gathering herbs, unaware that a well in their yard holds a powerful secret. According to legend, a magical luffa grows in the well, blessing it with endless, sweet water. Those who possess the luffa gain immortality and great magical power.

Liu Hai’s greedy uncle, Liu Zhen Bin, schemes to take the luffa for himself. He drives Liu Hai and his mother from their home and offers the luffa to an evil spirit named Qiong Qi—unaware that the spirit has his own dark plans for its power.

Meanwhile, deep in the energy-filled forests of Changde Mountain, a nine-tailed fox and a golden toad sense the growing conflict. The fox, moved by Liu Hai’s kindness, falls in love with him and joins him in his struggle. Together, they face trials, betrayal, and dark forces in a battle to reclaim the luffa and restore peace.
