A group of barristers and trainee lawyers set out to uphold justice and their ideals, but the path is filled with challenges. Veteran barrister Fan Chi Ngai and his wife, Cheung Wai Wan, are respected mentors who have trained many students, including their top protégés Tong Ching Chi, Fok Chi Ying, and Chow Chi Pok. Each trainee follows a different approach to the law as they grow from rookies into qualified practitioners. Through demanding cases, successes and setbacks, they learn to turn theory into practice while navigating love, family, and friendships. Their greatest test comes when professional ethics clash with their personal beliefs.
