Fa Ping, a police officer who believes beauty is the key to success after changing her appearance through plastic surgery, goes undercover with fellow CID officer Law Dai Shu as a married couple to investigate a loan-shark operation in a public housing estate. As they befriend a trio of housewives, Fa Ping begins to see life differently while she and Dai Shu slowly grow closer. But when the housewives become prime suspects and a mysterious woman enters the picture, the investigation takes an unexpected turn.
