During the peaceful Daming Dynasty, commoner Yuan Mo becomes entangled in international affairs after a clash with refugee A Shu. As a result, he's reassigned to the Four Square Pavilion's western office, working under Wang Kun Wu and alongside A Shu and the formidable Yu Chi Hua. Though often dismissed as "useless," Yuan Mo grows through diplomatic challenges and personal trials.
