Set in the 1930s at the iconic Shanghai Bund, this story follows Ye Fei, a young magician from a prestigious clan, who begins a journey fueled by revenge but ultimately finds his true path in patriotism.

Ye Fei’s father, Ye Jin, was the revered head of the Jin Rong troupe, a lineage of master magicians. After defeating a German magician in a public challenge, Ye Jin is shunned by rival troupes and falls into despair, leading to his untimely death. Determined to avenge his father, Ye Fei travels north to train under a renowned master.

Upon completing his training, Ye Fei arrives in Shanghai, where he encounters Xiao Yao, the spirited daughter of a powerful gang leader. Drawn to his talent and resolve, she quickly falls for him. However, as war looms, personal desires are cast aside. Ye Fei and Xiao Yao find themselves swept into a greater struggle — a battle not for vengeance, but for their country’s future.
